When Values Take on Shape, Scent and Touch

It seems worthwhile to reflect from time to time on the meaning of values. Some of us say that there are too few of them in the world around us, while others are convinced they do not need them at all.

Although the spirit of our time often seems to push us away from values, one thing is certain: we carry them with us wherever we go. Held in our hearts, they are always there – whether we are on holiday or at work. Even when we act in ways that may not quite align with what our values would ask of us.

The truth is that our personal values are our quiet companions. Even when we are not fully aware of them, they wait patiently for us to stand up for them and give them a voice.

It is hard to overlook the genuine joy we feel when we choose what truly matters to us. At first, we may notice it only fleetingly or by chance. But with every step we take in accordance with our own values, that sense of joy and fulfilment grows stronger.

Instead of making our daily choices from a place of “I have to,” we gradually begin to choose what feels right to us and what is genuinely close to our hearts.

In the book Living Your Personal Values, values are the true protagonists. They reveal their many charms, as well as the challenges they can bring into our lives. Through a collection of personal stories, the book weaves together joys and struggles, trials and triumphs – all connected to values whose deepest wish is simply to be lived.

From a heartfelt desire to bring these values into everyday life, IZISTEP natural skincare was born. An original love of all things natural began to take shape – in botanical skincare products.

As these products were being created, other values began to awaken too, finding their own language in skincare.

In the simplicity of formulations with fewer ingredients.
In the thoughtful selection of botanical ingredients.
In the care of small-batch production and handcrafting.
In the gentleness of textures, scents and sensations the products leave on the skin.

And so, little by little, values took on shape, scent and touch. A touch that, because of their honesty and authenticity, we experience as softness. And more than that: they found a place where they feel at home.

Perhaps values are not something we need to talk about at length. They become visible in the way we live them and in what we create.

It may be skincare, helping others, or something entirely different. Each of us can give our values a form of our own. What matters is simply that we live them.

Our personal values.
